Family Connections Parent Link Centre

We would like to remind parents/caregivers that, when attending the Family Connections Parent Link Centre activities, wet snowy/muddy footwear needs to be removed before entering the play area. We recommend that you bring a clean pair of footwear to change into as socks can be slippery on the floor and if we need to leave the building in a hurry there will not be time to find and put on your other footwear.

Please bring your own "travel mug" with lid for hot drinks and a water bottle for water, when attending programs with the Family Connections Parent Link. The Family Connections Parent Link Centre will continue to have coffee and tea available at most of our programs.

Thank you for helping us to be kind to our planet!

Technology Free Zone!

The goal for the Family Connections Parent Link Centre is to provide a safe and fun environment for our families to play together in. To this end we have a new policy that we will be introducing immediately to all our programs; it is now the Policy of Huntington Hills Community Association that our programs be technology free.

This means that we are asking you to put your cell phones, tablets, etc. away while you are at our programs. Please do not talk, text, play games, etc while you are in the play groups. We understand that there will be times that it is necessary for you to use your device, and we ask that you do so outside of the play space, after ensuring your child is safe by asking someone else to watch them, or by taking them with you. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to talk to one of our staff about them.

Our Current Activities:

Bring your lawn chairs and a blanket and join us outside for family games, face painting, highland dancers, bouncy castle and Spolumbo sausages and M&M burgers.

Play & Songs
Wednesday mornings, 10:00-11:30
June 21 will be the last day for this program, please watch for it to return in September.

This is a playgroup for all ages with a variety of activities to explore in the Parent Link Room and ending with a short song time. Please sit with your child on the rug during this time. Toddlers are not expected to sit for songs and wandering will happen. We ask parents not to have conversations with one another during song time, please model sitting on the carpet, taking part in singing the songs, and or listening to the story quietly. Exposing your child to these song times is great for developing their attention span.
