Mealtime Struggles to Mealtime Success
Monday evening, November 4, 6:30-8:30 pm

Do you have questions about your child’s eating? Learn how to create a positive mealtime environment, introduce new foods and how to cope with mealtime struggles. Taught by a AHS dietitian, this class is for parents and caregivers with children 1 – 5 years of age.

Learn how to teach your child to stay in bed and mange other bedtime challenges for young children.

When Consequences Don't Seem to Work
Monday evening, November 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Parenting is frustrating at times, especially when consequences don’t seem to be working. There are positive and respectful solutions and helps available. In this workshop we will explore concerns and discuss options to help guide parents through these tough and challenging periods.

Triple P Parenting Seminars (3 to 11 years)
Saturday, October 5, 10:00-3:00 pm

Come join us for a set of 3 seminars on parenting which will focus on understanding development and managing behavior in a constructive and caring way. Seminar topics are:

 - The Power of Positive Parenting
 - Raising Confident, Competent children
 - Raising Resilient Children

Kids have Stress Too
Monday evening, October 7, 2019, 6:30PM – 8:30PM

Come learn about different kinds of stress that affect our children. This workshop will help identify different kinds of stress and give us the tools to help our children deal with their stress. Childcare is available but a certain number of children are needed to support this workshop.

The New Guidelines on Screen Time for Preschool-Aged Children

The Importance of Interaction in Early Language Acquisition. In a world where “screen time” is rapidly increasing, how we interact with our children is changing. We will present the revised guidelines on digital media use from the American Academy of Pediatrics (released in October 2016) with a focus on the impacts of screen time on the development of language in the preschool years.
